How to make

Canyon Topos

We have made the process as easy as possible for you to add a topo to Canyon Log. You have a choice of methods, use whichever is most convenient to you.

🎨 Create

We have made a load of resources to make it nice and easy for you to start drawing topo maps, check them out below!

Method 1

Written

Simply make a list of all the features you find as you descend the canyon, an example of this could be:

100m scramble

A1 – 30m (two bolt TR), deep pool,

50m down climbs,

A2 – 17m (webbing around a tree TL), shallow pools

Method 2

Drawn

Draw out a rough sketch of how the topo should look, see an example below:

Method 3

Digital

Make a digital version of your topo using our templates and vector files, see example below.

If you would like access to the vector files and templates, send us an email!

📁 Upload

We will look over the topo and if it needs it, we will convert it to the digital format.

👀 Review

We will take a look at what you have sent, if it needs converting to a digital format then we will do that and send you a copy to check over.

🧑‍💻Publish

Once you’re happy with the topo, we will publish it on Canyon Log. No matter how you send us the topo you will receive credit when it is published.
