Description
Use satnav to take you to 'The George Inn', go over the bridge opposite the pub and park in the lay-by opposite the church. The walk in is the path behind the church, taking the right fork to head up the clear vehicle track. Follow the path walking through the farm house courtyard to the rear of the property. Keep following the path / Stone built wall up to the top of the hill. Do not go through the gate on your left as this will bring you to low down the gorge. Follow the stone built wall to the left and towards the beck. There is a a 5 bar metal gate in the stone wall in front of you slightly up the hill on your right. Please use this and DO NOT CLIMB WALLS OR FENCES! You are now at your starting point.

Canyon Experience :

05/12/22
Start where the 5 bar metal gate allows access to the side of the beck, DO NOT CLIMB FENCES OR WALLS! The route starts off pretty tame with a small waterfall which can be down climbed or a temporary hand line put in. Features get bigger and richer as you descend. On this trip, no rain for a few days, bottom 25% of the gorge was dry but still good fun with the abseils and features. Exit at the base when you reach the wooden bridge.

I can imagine when rain fall has been present in recent days this would be a pretty fast flowing gorge which would make for a very different and exciting trip.

Walk in and walk out both pleasant with good fun to effort ratio. Walk in 45 mins, Down time 1hr 45min, Walk out 15 mins.

I will send the more detailed access route directly so the page can be updated accordingly. I will also send a rough Topo breakdown. Requires 1 x 30m Rope. NOT BOLTED, use natural features.
