Notes
Water in canyon is controlled a lot is taken out making it very low flow. At the end of the canyon the water seems to disappear underground. You can gauge the level by parking at the bridge then walking for 2 minutes up what seems like an empty canyon to the last features where there will be some flow. The water regulation may change this info is just from one trip.
Description
Park in layby area immediately next to the bridge over the river. Walk in is up the hillside river left of canyon as far as the concrete buildings. The canyon has a nice feeling of being walled in whilst always remaining escapable with a bit of effort. Nature of canyon and abseils and difficulty is fairly constant from top to bottom. Longest abseil unknown. Taking 2 ropes 40 - 60 m allows you to get down well and run out parts that would otherwise be downclimbs or multiple abseils. Page info - Andrew Coultherd
