Notes
Bolts were placed to get our team down and we hope that this will now provide good anchors for next parties. Be prepared to work out rigging on some parts. The lower section has more trees for anchors. For the most part canyon is escapeable. River Name - Allt Cheanna Mhuir
Description
Follow Loch Arkaig road. 1km past butterfly there are some buildings and you can find parking but not much space. Walk in - go through gate and past large building. This meets 4x4 track, you can then find a good path continuing up hillside, follow all way to top. A few small features are encountered, 2 of which have a single bolt to abb off. The main falls has a bolt for hand line river right to an anchor point on the edge river right. There is also then a second anchor point a short way down on a good ledge. After this there are more downclimbs and smaller abseils back to loch. Page Information - Andrew Coultherd

Canyon Experience :

I descended this canyon yesterday with Andrew who has bolted and added the route to canyon log. I did this canyon after doing Butterfly the same day. Bolts are there at the top of the big ab. It’s an incredible canyon that keeps giving and in my opinion was better than butterfly. We ghosted a couple of the pitches further down and left some tat however this canyon could definitely benefit from further bolting to fully open it. Well done Andrew and thanks for showing me it.
