Description
For the upper section start at the road bridge (SH 712 248). You can drive up here climbers right (off road track), or more gently up on climbers left (via Ty’n-y-groes-bach). Parking at bridge.
Several short slides amongst the slippy gorge walking for the most part.
Things get more vertical just above the main falls (optional start for lower section), where there is a nice 7m slide, then 20m abseil, 8m jump and some smaller jumps and slides.
Get out just beneath the main road before it joined the Mawddach.
Be aware depth can change after flooding, some of the pools that were deep, no longer are and vice versa.

Gorge/ Canyon is usually known as the Gamlan/ Afon Gamlan or Cwm Camlan, with Rhaeadr Ddu (Black Falls) referring to the main waterfall, and lots of other waterfalls on other rivers.
