Unlikely looking from the road but an excellent spot. Abseiled off the chain anchor underneath the bridge, great rock features here. ~10min gorge walk took us to the second short abseil, large log in place there but that just adds to the fun!
Short, but beautiful canyon with nice green colors. First section under the bridge is the main event, after this comes some gorge walking with 1 more small abseil and some easy downclims.
Did not find any anchors at the ‘normal’ start of the the canyon. There is a big log on which you can put your rope, but gives some friction and not the best to retrieve your rope. There is good rock and convenient spots to add a good bolt. Chain under the bridge is obvious and easy alternative to the ‘normal’ start.
Fantastic short canyon near Glasgow. Can either rappel from a chain underneath the bridge or start down in the river itself and rappel into the first pool. 2 rappels and some nice jumps along the way. Exit canyon left after a nice gorge walk into a field and back to the car at the layby. 4/5 stars … would be 5/5 if it was a little longer but easy enough to run it twice
