Canyon Experience :

Descended on 07-04-2026

Multiple smaller abseils, and downclimbs in the flow, low flow and shallow pools.
A beautiful spot, and surprisingly hidden. Worth making the effort not to damage the moss when downclimbing and moving through.

Bolts are mostly 2 x unlinked bolts with ring and maillon combo.
Some exposed bolt stations, some trees used in good spots.

Condition Report:

P1 has a loose bolt hanger, but a third bolt has been placed to replace this, loose bolt still in situ.

P6 (Single ring bolt on a boulder) creates a rub point, care needed for abrasion and rope retrieval.

P7 – I cleared the Final Pitch of the worst of the tree jam, however a log has situated itself at the base of this abseil. **Take care of tangled rope**

Canyon Experience :

I had a fun little trip through on Sunday evening (13th April 2025)

The final pitch is a bushwhacking exercise where a bushy tree has (presumably) come down recently. You have to reach through the branches to rig, then crawl through to rappel the pitch! (Pic attached of Craig)

I didn’t have anything with me to clear it, and it was about 6.30pm.

Fun little trip for a change of scenery from the usuals in the Lakes, but it’s a fair old ‘yomp’ up to the start!
