Name brain freeze, as it was found at end of season and was very cold jumping in.
For the most part the pools are deep for jumps but be sure to check yourself, some require being accurate to hit the right spot. Take care after second abseil with large rocks underwater, we spotted a sump in one of pools you drop into. River Name: Allt a' Bhuiridh
Description
Turn off A830 onto A861, take first left at houses and Mowi building. Theres a pull in on the left or find place to park discretely. To avoid walking down the road which says private next to river ailort , you can walk south towards the houses then a left turn follows a straight path behind the mowi building. Follow the path and either go with the faint path up over small saddle. Or continue on the 4x4 Turn off A830 onto A861, take first left at houses and Mowi building. Theres a pull in on the left or find place to park discretely. Walk along road next to river Ailort which goes past some houses and turns into a more gravel path. A sign says private road, speaking to some locals it seems fine to walk through, but there are other paths round. Keep following until a small building is seen, which is the marker for takeout. At this follow path climbing up the hillside. It continues all the way to small dam which is the starting point. The more open nature of the river means you can easily repeat the many jumps and escapes are available throughout. Bolts are in place for abseils. Get out river left when you see building again. Way back then as approach. First Descent Team - Andrew Coultherd, Donald MacQuarrie
