Description

Approach by Car: park at the falls of Cruachan Train station car park. Approach by foot: Follow the footpath up hill towards Ben Cruachan. Canyon entry: Enter the Canyon at the 290m Contour Canyon descent: A steep descent down a low flow canyon featuring a slot in the lower section. Minimum of 8 pitches as well as downclimbs which can be roped. Exit: (Unknown) Escapes: (Unknown) First Decent: (Unknown)

Canyon Experience :

Well worth the trip especially for the impressive bottom encased section.
Definitely worth bringing a drill to gain access to some much nicer lines down the pitches. Lots of old tat kicking about the canyon so make sure you inspect well before committing and bring plenty of spare. Exit out the canyon before you reach the tunnel under the hydro because it stinks in there and you might get escorted out by the hydro staff. At least they were nice about it.
