Notes
River name: Allt Ban/ All Bhan First main waterfall (45m ish depend where you stop) has now been bolted, but rope drag remains an issue. Linking the bolts with chain/ mallions and placing a big ring/ mallions as a master point may reduce drag. It is possible to start before this drop, however this is a worthwhile pitch if you can pull the rope down. Several nasty tree chokes can be found lower down in the canyon. Both experienced and beginner canyoneers have had 'epics' in this canyon. Only attempt in low to moderate flow.
Description
To approach this canyon, navigate your way up through the forest and onto the mountain side until it gets less steep, then head towards the river. You can either start directly at the big waterfall (see notes) or drop down just before it. From here you'll find lots of abseils and difficult down climbs, some of which may need anchor placements. Several short slides and jumps can be found. The canyon finishes at the parking. Page Information - Sol Armer

Canyon Experience :

Friday 26th September team of 2. An absolutely cracking canyon, and stunningly beautiful on a sunny Autumn day! South facing so catches the sunshine all day long and looks right out to Ben Nevis!

Added a length of red tat and a mallion to extend and equalise the first two bolts, that first rappel is very slippery and pretty awkward. Tree anchors all still in good condition with black tat and mallions throughout. Had to skip the cool slide into the pool on account of not seeing an easy way to access any anchors for the following rappel, rapped off a large tree River Right from existing tat and mallion.

Used the existing tat and mallion tree anchor River Right for the big rappel, although one or two solid trees could be used on the ‘island’ river centre, no issues on the rope pull.

Some interesting downclimbs and lots of tree jams to negotiate in the lower section, appreciated the bolts where we found them!

Get in there folks, it’s a belter!

Descended on the 5/5/25 with a big team. Awesome canyon great decent all pools are clear, anchors are intact.
The team added new bolts to several pitches and put new webbing on some of the natural anchors
