2022 has proven to be an excellent year for canyoning in the UK with canyons across the nation getting major upgrades to its infrastructure. Canyon Log has also seen a huge amount of new information published as well as new updates and features throughout the site. To summarise the progress we have made, the following report has been created.

Verification
Over the course of 2023, we aim to verify the information we have about the canyons on our map. This means the informations has been checked and either updated or confirmed. Topos
Topo maps are one of the best single pieces of information you can have for a canyon, A clear illustration of pitches, water movements, commitment, character and hazards make descents easier to plan for leading to better decision making and lessens the risk of issues during a descent. Dams
Dams can be found above aquatic canyons around the UK. Knowing about the presence of a dam upstream and what type it is will reduce the chances of getting caught out mid descent.
