Description
Approach by Car: Park in the Strathcarron train station car park. follow the road over the train track then take the first turning on the left immediately after. Follow the track which leads you over a bridge and up the hill keeping the canyon to your left. When the track starts to lead away from the canyon, walk off track and keep following the canyon for another 5 mins. Canyon entry: two options, you can either abseil in or walk in. Abseiling off of the with yellow webbing around its base or following the small gully that is about 50m up stream of the tree. Be aware the pull down on the abseil is full of snag hazards and lot's of friction. Canyon descent: A scenic gorge with just a few drops, the deep pools need to be checked before jumping as they all have ledges underwater. Exit: Either exit shortly after the canyon section ends or continue down the gorge until you reach the bridge. Escapes: not possible in the canyon section however the section is very short.

Canyon Experience :

Descended on 9.5.24 in a team of 4.
For info skye highland adventures are no longer trading, don’t know if someone else is using it commercially.
We used the upper start, there’s a fun clean 6m jump and little down climbable slot at the top, then lots of uneventful gorge walking down to the lower start. Toboggan is phenomenal!

The last abseil, one of the glue in bolts is placed perpendicular to the ab, so the rope twists like a bugger on retrieval. Suggest linking the 2 bolts with tat and maillon to make it easier to pull.
