Canyon Experience :

Perfect V4 A4 conditions in today’s drought. Canyon compromises of 2 short section separated by some gorge walking. Topo updated soon, along with a water indicator. Ability to read water and white water experience is essential. All hydraulics were avoidable today (we bypassed A3 (abseil no3 as it was bit too gnarly).

Get in just before Afon Hwch & Afon Arddu meet, either trib can be ghosted. Get out after (Ceunant Mawr). Few nice jumps and abseils, some fast flowing water, few undercuts and siphons to avoid. Escape is possible through at the canyon.

As mentioned below, Mountain Rescue have had lots of call here (lots of fatalities) with people who don’t know how to read water/ no white water experience / conditions that are far too high. Fun to play in if you have the experience. If you want beta/ water update; I live 500m away, give me a message on +447920865994
