Keltneyburn
Summery
A classic river canyon with deep pools and some great jumps throughout. As you descend, the canyon becomes increasingly enclosed, with fewer escape options. Care should be taken near the lower section, after the final larger jump and just before the abseil, the pool is particularly difficult to exit from.

Descended on 18/04/26 team of 3 medium/high flow.
A brilliant decent with good jumps and slides.
After the bigger jumps it becomes increasingly difficult to escape until after the abseil, previous information incorrect please take a rope 🤣
Descended 18/9/25 with Shelley Watson. We parked on single track river right of the burn ( looks unlikely / private when turning off main road at the statue) dropped into a gorge walk. Got out after a jump pool when gorge suddenly becomes steeper, you wouldn’t be able to return and no signs of bolts. Asking around it sounds like this used to go as a jump and scramble down second fall.
