Description
Approach either from Hassness on the B5289 or Newlands Pass across Buttermere Moss. This Canyon is the west-most gill of the 3 Goat Gills. Scramble down and get in @360m. 3x abseils + some downclimbing gets you to the confluence of the 3 Goat Gills. A2 is a full 30m, be mindful to not abseil off end of rope whilst getting to A3 anchor.
Several shorter pitches with a bit more water brings you to a pool above a small dam at the confluence with Hassnesshow Beck. Get out here as there is no canyoning interest below this. Signs at the pool/dam ask you not to swim as it's a water supply.
